Female Landladies redress the gender balance in investment
It has been announced that women are now much more likely to invest in buy to let property than men, playing a large part in narrowing the wealth gap between genders and providing a more equal asset distribution between them.
Women appear to understand that there will always be a need for rental accommodation, and see them as a safer option than shares or bonds, which have recently been performing less well and are more prone to drastic swings in value.
Using buy to let gives women the opportunity for good investments without needing to go through largely male dominated institutions such as banks and stockbroking firms and with the prospect of consistent returns of 5-10% it offers an attractive alternative.
